The decision taken by the Egyptian Central Bank to float the pound, on Thursday Nov. 3, 2016, was one of the boldest and most controversial steps taken by the government for decades. Praised by some and attacked by others, this decision has had the biggest impact on the average Egyptian breadwinner, who is struggling to survive.
